WFS has borrowing capacity to meet the daily cash needs of new business development, new award support, and operational working capital. WFS is well-versed in federal contract compliance and providing outstanding support services
Position Summary
The Facilities Site Manager is responsible for the daily planning and execution of facility maintenance support though the supervision of a team of operations and maintenance personnel involved in the daily work activities that ensure NETL infrastructure is maintained, and operations are consistent and constant. This includes coordinating site operations with NETL federal facilities staff, the WE2 site R&D manager and other management officials. Open and frequent communications with the NETL Federal Site Manager is essential to ensure successful execution of assigned job duties.
Responsibilities:
  • Reinforce a culture of safety within the organization. Must be knowledgeable of safety requirements, lead safety talks and perform daily walkarounds of support areas.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and support of facilities to include the installation, modification, monitoring, operation, testing, and servicing of equipment and systems at the client site.
  • Define and document maintenance activity scope, identify the maintenance team, required resources, develop the work breakdown structure, estimates, identify milestones and maintenance activity risks/mitigations.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance plans that provide a collective look at all infrastructure activities occurring on site.
  • Arrange and lead coordination meetings with multiple stakeholders to ensure all lifecycle activities are accurately represented, planned, monitored, and controlled.
  • Actively support the maintenance of infrastructure components related to research programs and experiments.
  • Report to senior management on technical issues and developments.
  • Stewards of organizational culture with a focus on teamwork and commitment to service amidst a diverse colleague and customer base.
  • Able to quickly adapt/adjust focus, and problem solve within evolving work demands.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to meet quickly developing needs of supervisor and other team members.
  • Participate in constructability design reviews for infrastructure projects; Provide monthly reports, work forecasts and daily ad hoc requests; Manage budgeting and cost forecasting of facility maintenance programs.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of job-related experience in building maintenance roles, and has a background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC & general facility repairs.
  • Leadership, management skills, and budgeting ability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced/intermediate proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Steward the organizational culture with a focus on teamwork and commitment to service amidst a diverse colleague and customer base.
  • Ability to quickly adapt focus, adjust schedule, and problem solve to meet evolving work demands and needs of supervisor and other stakeholders.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also work independently and balance multiple competing priorities and tasks.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass an extensive background investigation, including but not limited to personal and professional financial history, nationwide criminal record search, credit check, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by WDC.

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical discipline (15) years of job-related experience in building maintenance roles, and has a background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC & general facility repairs.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires all work to be performed at a U.S. Department of Energy government owned, government operated site which includes business offices, research laboratories and support facilities. The position may require standing for extended periods of time. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, safety footwear and mandatory hearing protection. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Occasionally required to move 5 – 40 pounds.

Travel Requirements:

The Facilities Site Manager will work primarily from an office environment located at the Pittsburgh, PA, site.

The Facilities Site Manager will be required to participate in select union meetings to include Collective Bargaining, Grievances, and Arbitrations as required.
