Speech Therapist (ST) Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech-language evaluations and assess home environments as appropriate
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs using specialized techniques or equipment
• Recommend communication devices or aids when indicated
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated care
• Participate in case conferences, inservices, and other meetings to support comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and submit documentation according to organization policy
• Maintain professional competency in speech-language pathology theory and practice
• Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for additional services and provide referrals as appropriate
• Instruct patients, families/caregivers, and other healthcare personnel in therapy programs
• Supervise Home Health Aides in procedures related to speech-language therapy, when appropriate
• Perform additional duties as assigned to facilitate delivery of care

Speech Therapist (ST) Qualifications:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Certified to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in Speech Language Pathology
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Current CPR certification
