Construction Manager (Field Operations & Carpentry Leadership)

A rapidly growing and highly reputable construction company specializing in high-end residential and light commercial projects throughout Bucks and Montgomery Counties is seeking a driven and experienced Construction Manager to lead field operations, manage multiple crews, and oversee project execution from start to finish.

We are known for delivering exceptional craftsmanship, efficient production systems, and top-tier client service , and we are looking for a strong leader who can manage workload, control jobsite performance, and ensure consistent quality across multiple active projects.

This role is designed for a versatile construction professional who can be either hands-on in the field or fully hands-off in a supervisory capacity—your choice based on your strengths and management style.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage up to 3 active construction crews , driving productivity, accountability, and high-quality workmanship
  • Oversee 8–12 concurrent residential and commercial projects per month across Bucks and Montgomery Counties
  • Take ownership of project estimating, takeoffs, budgeting, and job costing to ensure accurate pricing and strong profit margins
  • Interpret and execute blueprints, architectural drawings, and project specifications to define scope, sequencing, and materials
  • Establish and manage daily field operations, including crew setup, scheduling, logistics, and jobsite coordination
  • Option to remain hands-on in production work or operate in a fully supervisory/management role depending on preference and experience
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds company quality standards, building codes, and OSHA safety requirements
  • Monitor job progress, conduct site inspections, and proactively resolve field challenges to maintain production schedules
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal leadership to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Mentor, train, and develop carpenters and apprentices to build a high-performance team culture
  • Continuously improve field efficiency, workflow systems, and overall project execution

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter, Lead Carpenter, Superintendent, or Construction Manager in residential and/or commercial construction
  • Strong leadership experience managing multiple crews and simultaneous projects
  • Experience with estimating, takeoffs, budgeting, and job costing strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, construction sequencing, and building materials
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage fast-paced project schedules
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel throughout Bucks and Montgomery Counties
  • Physically capable of field work when needed, including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended jobsite activity
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise, active job sites)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a focus on accountability and results
