We are looking for a Service Writer who is looking for an exciting career with an industry leader that’s been in the business since 1929.
The Commercial Service Writer serves as the key liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring seamless coordination of service requests, job quoting, and follow-up. This role is responsible for gathering detailed information about service needs, preparing accurate and timely service estimates, and coordinating with technicians, dispatchers, and management to ensure customer expectations are met.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THE JOB:
- Reviews of follow-up service orders for additional repairs that need to be quoted
- Works directly with customers calling in for specific repair/replacement quotes
- Communicates with local vendors for pricing, availability of needed parts
- Communicate regularly with customers to follow up on quoted repairs, site visits may be required
- Works with service manager to review completed & follow up service orders
- Maintains communication between office and field staff on necessary repair quotes
- Works with field technicians to help get the parts needed for jobs
- Review quoted repairs to determine status by following up with the customer for a Loss or Gain status on the quote
- Responsible for organizing all warranty returns and following up with manufacturers
- Required start time 7am to meet with any technicians to go over jobs
- Help technicians pull and load parts/equipment when required
- Participating in weekly meetings with operational staff to explore methods to increase departmental effectiveness and explore new opportunities
- Assist Service Managers in necessary areas for customer feedback and follow-up after work is completed
- Additional duties as required by direct manager
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2-year minimum office/customer service experience a plus
- Field experience is a plus
- 2-5 years of industry experience in commercial mechanical service
- Knowledge of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for quoting repairs
- Ability to effectively execute operations of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking and time management to handle quotes, follow-ups, and technician coordination efficiently
- Attention to detail for reviewing service orders and preparing accurate estimates
- Strong problem-solving skills to manage unexpected service or parts issues
