As a Staff Accountant, you will carry out our Mission of Love by playing a key role in ensuring financial records are closed accurately and timely in a manner compliant with generally accepted accounting standards and organizational policies.
Our Staff Accountant is responsible for the following:
- Responsible for cash management of Grand Lodge operating cash accounts. These responsibilities include monitoring to ensure adequate operating levels and development of cash flow projections to anticipate needs.
- Reconcile on a monthly basis relevant balance sheet and income statements as assigned.
- Cross-train to perform responsibilities assigned to all other staff accountants to ensure team flexibility and coverage.
- Responsible to generate and maintain recurring journal entries on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for tracking, reconciling, and recording activity related to the event operations of One North Broad Street.
- Collaborate with auditors during the year-end close by providing reconciliations and detailed explanations for various accounts and transactions across (all entities).
- Maintain spreadsheets used in preparation of tax filing reports.
- Prepare Cash and GAAP based financial statements on a regular basis for review by Finance Manager.
What You Have:
- Associate degree in Accounting or minimum two years of accounting experience in a health care environment, preferred.
- Proficiency in computer operations. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include spreadsheet development and data analysis functionalities. Efficient management of digital files and databases. Experience with cloud-based collaborative tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) preferred.
- Possess exceptional?communication skills, demonstrate a high degree of?adaptability, and exhibit meticulous?attention to detail. Have a collaborative mindset with strong?teamwork capabilities, the ability to think critically, a commitment to professional growth as a?curious and continuous learner, and the negotiation and persuasive skills?necessary to influence key stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills by effectively prioritizing tasks, managing competing demands, and consistently meeting deadlines as assigned. Maintains accountability for deliverables, proactively communicates progress, and ensures timely completion of responsibilities in alignment with team and organizational goals
