Project Superintendent

Job Description

Growing construction company seeking to hire self-driven Commercial Construction Superintendent who will be responsible for coordinating employees and subcontractors to ensure projects are on time and within budget. Must have knowledge and ability to self-perform various divisions of work as required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Managers to assure the field is coordinated with the construction plan as developed by the Project Manager and that schedule, cost and quality expectations are met.
• Establishes and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
• Serves as the onsite Safety Lead/ Coordinator providing guidance for safety expectations of the project teams. Responsible for reviewing specific safety plans, periodic safety inspections to each project and develops and leads training in safety.
• Coordinates all construction services and activities with subcontractors and vendors and leads subcontractors and team in field activities.
• Documents daily project activities.
• Assists Project Manager in completing Closeout Phase of Projects, Responsible for monitoring and managing punch lists through construction completion.

Experience and Skills

• Commercial Construction Superintendent: 5+ years (Required)
• Ability to manage projects ranging from 1M – 15M
• Demonstrated leadership abilities along with an open and willing attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Outstanding communication skills verbal and written. Establishes collaborative relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders.
• Excellent technical skills, proficient in reading, understanding, and applying blueprints and job specifications as well as safety knowledge and skills.
• Proficient computer and technology skills with experience using Microsoft Office suite, scheduling software and Blue Beam.

Work Location

Primarily serving the South-Central PA market with flexibility to travel to surrounding states as necessary. (NJ, NY, MD, VA, etc.)
