Commercial Roofer/Sheet Metal Worker

Bruin Roofing is seeking commercial roofers to join our team. Full-time positions are available for both experienced and entry level roofers, to repair, replace and install roofs on high-profile, commercial jobs.  (No residential roofing jobs.)  We offer a variety of employee benefits, including healthcare and 401(k) with matching contribution, opportunities for salary increases and mileage reimbursement based on job site locations.  We also provide safety equipment, power tools and an opportunity for entry-level roofers to receive on-the-job training. 

Hourly rate: $30.00 to $35.00 with experience

Summary/Objective:
Installing various roof systems, primarily Single-Ply, but can also include Standing Seam, Mod-Bit, BUR and coatings. This work is typically on low-sloped existing buildings but can also include some new construction projects.

Essential Functions:
Remove and dispose of existing roofing material.
Carry and place various materials for installation.
Operate hand tools and small equipment, with proper training.
Apply adhesives in a variety of techniques, including spray, roller and hot mop.
Roll out and position singly-ply and BUR materials.
Install flashing and associated trim.
Apply roof surfacing, to include coating and/or various sizes of gravel.
Clean construction site and eliminate possible hazards.
Receive instructions from supervisor.
Abide by all OSHA and Bruin safety guidelines.
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Set up ladders or work out of aerial equipment.
Install protection on adjacent surfaces.
Remove snow and water from roofs.
Load and unload trucks.
Communicate effectively with coworkers.
