Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | West View

• Start Date: As soon as the perfect fit is found
• Hours: Monday to friday, Hours between 7 am - 5 pm; Guaranteed 40 hours/week
• Hourly Rate: $25-30
• Children: 2-year-old and 1-month-old
• Paid Vacation: 4 weeks, preferably of the family’s choice, Major Holidays, 2 sick or personal days
• Requirements: Vaccines including COVID and annual Flu

Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT: If you love a home that feels alive—baby snuggles, toddler chatter, home-cooked meals simmering, and a little bit of happy chaos in the background—you’re going to feel really good here. This young, warm, and easygoing family recently welcomed their second baby and are looking for a nanny who wants to grow right alongside them for the next several years. They’re kind, communicative, and genuinely appreciative of the person caring for their children—and it shows. Their home is rooted in culture, connection, and togetherness, with a strong emphasis on raising their children in a rich, multicultural environment. In these early months, there will be a rotating, loving cast of grandparents and extended family visiting from India. They’re warm, helpful (especially in the kitchen!), and add to the energy of the home—but you are the steady, go-to person for the children.

Big sister (2) is in that wonderfully busy stage—curious, chatty, and always on the move. She attends preschool three days a week, giving the week a natural balance between one-on-one newborn care and time with both children. She thrives with a nanny who is fully engaged—talking, narrating, singing, and turning everyday moments into learning opportunities. You’re creating a day that feels engaging, intentional, and full of little wins. Your mornings might start with breakfast together, followed by play, books, or a simple craft before heading out for a park or library adventure. At the same time, little brother (newborn) is settling into his own rhythm. As Mom transitions back to work, you’ll take the lead on infant care—bottles, diapering, naps, soothing, and all the small, attentive moments that help a baby feel secure and known. You find joy in the quiet rhythm of newborn care—and understand it’s relationship-building in its earliest form. You’re fluent in toddler curiosity and newborn cues—balancing both with ease, whether that’s wearing the baby while helping with a snack or rocking one while reading to the other. You bring a calm, capable presence to it all.

The flow of the day blends structure and flexibility—guiding the toddler through predictable rhythms while staying responsive to the newborn’s needs. You’ll also play a key role in keeping the children’s world running smoothly—tidying play spaces as you go, prepping simple meals or snacks, washing bottles, and staying one step ahead of what the day requires. Outings are encouraged and part of the rhythm here—parks, playgrounds, library story times, and simple adventures that get everyone out of the house and engaged with the world. Their home carries a warm “buzz”—people coming and going, conversations happening—and they’re looking for someone who can step into that environment with ease. You don’t just step into the day—you help shape it.

THE IDEAL NANNY... Warm, engaging, and naturally interactive. You understand how meaningful those small, consistent interactions are, especially in the early years. You have experience with both infants and toddlers and can confidently move between the two—soothing a newborn one moment and jumping into a craft or storytime the next. You’re flexible and adaptable, able to move with the natural flow of a home that includes extended family and changing dynamics. You’re proactive and helpful—you see what needs to be done and step in, while also working seamlessly alongside parents and family members. Just as importantly, you’re reliable and communicative. You show up on time, keep the parents in the loop, and take pride in being someone they can fully trust. Most of all, you’re looking for a long-term connection—a family you can grow with, support, and become an important part of as their children grow up.

Requirements and Benefits

• Nanny must have a driver's license, vehicle, and a clean driving record

• Nanny MUST have previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
