Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional at New Story Schools IDS

Location: Wellsville, PA, 17365

Join New Story Schools In-District Services (IDS) as we partner with local school districts to enhance special education by providing BCBAs, Teachers, RBTs, Paraprofessionals and other professionals for their classrooms. Serving students aged 5-22 across multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, we work alongside families and schools to create a safe, supportive environment that fosters academic and social success.

Your Role as a Special Education Paraprofessional:

• Assist with the implementation of the students Individualized Education (IEP).
• Implement appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques.
• Observe/Record data related to behavioral concerns to assess/monitor the progress of the student.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support clients' behavioral and developmental needs.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your expertise in behavior management and techniques.
• Assist students within the classroom/program setting during participation in special subjects such as Physical Education, Vocational programs, and Field trips.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating patience and compassion.

Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications:

• An associate's degree or higher or completed at least two years of postsecondary study; or successful completion of a state or locally developed assessment.
• Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences.
