CNC Operator
A growing manufacturing facility in Lancaster, PA is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to support vertical machining operations. This role focuses on operating and assisting with the setup of CNC machining centers, running existing programs, changing tooling, and troubleshooting molds and fixtures to ensure high-quality production. Experience with Haas and Kitamura CNC machines is highly valued.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision, quality, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Operate and assist with setup of vertical CNC machining centers
-Load and run existing CNC programs (no programming required)
-Support mold changeovers and troubleshoot machining issues
-Change dull tooling and adjust machine offsets as needed
-Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gage pins, comparators, and other precision tools
-Record measurements and maintain accurate production documentation
-Perform deburring and part cleaning to customer specifications
-Conduct routine machine maintenance (e.g., filling way oil)
-Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
-High School Diploma or GED
-Minimum 2 years of CNC or machine operator experience
-Experience operating vertical machining centers
-Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documents
-Proficient using precision measuring instruments
-Strong understanding of basic math and geometry
-Ability to calculate and adjust machine offsets
-Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (70 lbs with assistance)
-Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment
Preferences
-Trade school or apprenticeship training
-Experience with Haas and/or Kitamura CNC machines
-Experience with mold setup and troubleshooting
-Familiarity with PLC-controlled machining equipment
