• Location: Lebanon, PA 17042 (Central Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Facility: 32-bed Step Down Intermediate Care Unit (3 South)
• Employment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/19/2026)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; 2 of 3 major holidays required
• Floating: Float to all Med/Surg units as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1830-$1880

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active Registered Nurse license (Pennsylvania RN jobs)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• EPIC charting experience required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients, including cardiac and stroke cases
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Tobacco and fragrance-free healthcare facility
• Maximum 7 days time off per contract

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac disease, stroke, and acute medical conditions
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration), telemetry, and post-op care for cardiac and orthopedic patients
• Perform advanced clinical procedures: central line care, chest tube management, feeding tube care, wound care, tracheostomy management
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, social services)
• Float to other Med/Surg units, including CHF, respiratory illness, general surgery, ortho, end-of-life care, COPD, sepsis, and peritoneal dialysis patients
• Participate in rapid response/code teams and maintain isolation precautions
