SUMMARY:

• The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Capital Area Intermediate Unit is $22.00/hour
• 5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date)

OPENING:

• Location: Future Ready Work Immersion Program , 6340 Flank Dr #600, Harrisburg, PA 17112
• Will provide direct support to high school–aged students within community settings and on job sites, including delivering job coaching and workplace skill development
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Paraprofessionals will work on student days following the academic calendar year

Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB
• Associates or Bachelors Degree - preferred
• Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred

CREDENTIALING :

(Clearances current within 12 months)

• PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
• PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
• PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
• TB Screening - current within 3 months
• Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
