Bar Manager

Recipe Philly is a first-of-its-kind restaurant concept: a full-service dining experience based on the principles of Heirloom Hospitality. Our menu is built from real family recipes, surfaced through a citywide competition and accompanying TV series. The food here means something. So does the team behind it.

We’re looking for a Bar Manager and Lead Mixologist to lead all aspects of the bar program (staffing, training, cocktails, inventory, and guest experience) while partnering closely with restaurant leadership to deliver a polished, profitable, and memorable bar operation.

Target start date is early July 2026, ahead of our August opening.

What you’ll do

• Build, hire, and develop a team of motivated mixologists who take the guest experience seriously
• Lead by example on the floor: if you're not serving a guest directly, you're supporting someone who is
• Maintain inventory at a rolling two-week supply
• Manage beverage cost of goods to meet budget targets
• Conduct regular free-pour tests to ensure consistency across every drink, whether it's served at the bar or a dining room table
• Apply the same level of care to our non-alcoholic beverage program
• Develop deep knowledge of the food menu and the stories behind the community members who created each dish
• Serve food at the bar and help make that experience as strong as the drinks

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience managing a bar program in a high-volume, full-service environment
• Strong grasp of beverage cost controls, inventory management, and budgeting
• Experience hiring, training, and holding a team accountable
• Comfortable with free-pour technique and committed to maintaining consistency through regular testing
• Genuinely curious about food, community, and the stories behind both
• Communicates clearly with the team and with leadership
• A collaborative presence at the management level — this role is part of a broader team, not a silo
