Join PHILLYWIDE as a Trash Truck Driver CDL with 2 years of experience! This exciting role offers you the chance to make a difference in your community while driving a vital service that keeps our neighborhoods clean and safe. Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive a trash truck safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Collect and dispose of waste materials from residential and commercial customers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and report any issues or concerns promptly.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste disposal.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck interior and exterior.
- Assist in training new drivers as needed and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with the public during pickups.
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably with waste management.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the waste industry.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and route planning.
