CAL Sports Academy is a youth sports development organization serving athletes ages 6–18. We focus on teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and developing character through structured sports instruction. As our programs continue to grow, we are seeking Basketball Class Coaches to lead weekday classes and support weekend league play.

Position Overview

We are looking for energetic, dependable basketball coaches to lead instructional classes during the week and assist with basketball leagues on Saturdays. This role focuses on fundamentals, skill development, and creating a positive learning environment.

This position is ideal for former players, coaches, teachers, college athletes, or individuals passionate about youth development through sports.

Responsibilities:

• Lead structured basketball classes for youth ages 6–18
• Teach fundamentals including shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, defense, and game awareness
• Follow CAL curriculum and age-appropriate lesson plans
• Maintain a positive, safe, and organized class environment
• Assist with Saturday basketball leagues as needed
• Set up and break down equipment
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff
• Represent CAL Sports Academy with energy and professionalism

Schedule & Commitment:

• Weekdays: Monday–Friday, typically 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
• Saturdays: Basketball leagues, generally 9:00 AM–3:00 PM (schedule varies based on teams and enrollment)
• Consistent weekly schedule available
• Year-round opportunities

Qualifications:

• Basketball playing or coaching experience preferred
• Experience working with children strongly preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to obtain PA Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances
