Development associate
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Philanthropic Development Associate
Summary
The Business Development Associate plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying, nurturing, and converting high-potential leads into loyal clients. This role blends strategic outreach with relationship-building, guiding prospects through the sales funnel while aligning with organizational goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, client-facing environment with a passion for philanthropy and financial innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation : Source and qualify prospects through channels including referrals, networking, conferences, and inbound marketing.
Prospect Engagement : Establish initial contact, build meaningful relationships, and maintain continuous communication to understand client needs.
Internal Enablement : Provide training and thought leadership to internal stakeholders on charitable giving strategies and the philanthropic ecosystem.
Lead Nurturing : Deploy personalized follow-ups and resources tailored to each lead, ensuring relevance and timely responses.
Sales Pipeline Management : Maintain momentum across all stages of the sales cycle, with strategic tracking and timely follow-ups.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with the sales team to synchronize lead development efforts with broader business strategies.
Reporting & Insights : Maintain accurate records of lead activity and deliver regular performance reports, including conversion analytics and funnel metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
Proven record of exceeding sales or fundraising targets, ideally in financial services, complex assets, wealth management, or the nonprofit sector.
Extensive knowledge of donor-advised funds, charitable giving strategies, and financial solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build trust with ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Demonstrated success developing and executing high-impact sales strategies.
Self-driven, results-focused, and able to excel both independently and within collaborative teams.
Exceptional negotiation and presentation abilities.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.
Ability and willingness to travel for client engagements and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent professional certification.
Deep understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation principles.
Previous experience delivering philanthropic advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and families.
