Job Summary:

Heberle & Chiaramonte Hospitality Group (HCHG) is hiring Barbacks for an upcoming relaunch of a downtown Erie restaurant & bar concept. Barbacks are essential to fast, consistent bar service---keeping the bar stocked, clean, organized, and ready during peak volume. Experience is welcome but not required; we will train dependable candidates.

Pay: $10.00--$15.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule / Hours:

Part-time; evenings, weekends, and select late nights required. Typical range 15--30 hours/week based on business needs.

Work Location:

Downtown Erie (worksite address provided during screening). Interviews by appointment only.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Stock bar supplies: ice, glassware, mixers, garnishes, beer/wine/liquor backstock, paper goods

• Restock coolers and maintain par levels throughout service

• Change kegs and assist with draft/beer restocking as trained

• Keep bar/service areas clean and organized (bar mats, floors, trash, surfaces)

• Wash/polish glassware as needed; ensure steady clean-glass flow

• Support bartenders with resets, runs, and quick turn tasks during high volume

• Assist with opening/closing side work and cleaning checklists

• Communicate needs to bartenders/managers proactively ("low ice," "86 glassware," etc.)

Qualifications

• Must be 18+

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Able to work quickly, stay organized, and follow direction

• Team-first attitude and comfort in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)

• Stand/walk for extended periods

• Lift and carry up to approximately 50 lbs (cases, ice, kegs as assigned)

Start Date / Training Timeline

Training begins the first week of March. Applicants able to start training that week are strongly preferred.
