Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Warehouse Worker – Material Services Specialist. You will be responsible for restocking the supplies as well as checking for expired products. Will crush boxes as well as put away supplies.
Job Description
- Replenish par level areas with supplies.
- Accurately pick and pack customer supplies orders for delivery to hospital supply locations and off-site facilities in a manner that meets department standards for safety, security, and productivity.
- Performs general physical activities in warehouse; loading, unloading, sorting and moving products and materials manually and using material handling equipment.
- Inventories par level areas using electronic handheld equipment.
- Deliver supplies to par level.
- Restocks and rotates, stock and non-stock par level supplies, while checking for damaged and expired product.
- Maintains and arranges items on shelves for maximum efficiency.
- Removes debris and boxes from the cleanrooms.
- Processes requisitions in computer system.
- Communicates stock outs, unit of measure discrepancies, usage increases and order problems to the Manager of Distribution.
- Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
- Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
- Performs counts and keeps assigned shelf locations neat and orderly.
- Takes initiative to assist patient care staff with identification of supply needs and available alternative when requested.
- Demonstrates compliance with Company departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, attendance and dress code.
- Performs other related duties as assigned when needed by management.
Skills Required
- One-year hospital experience needed.
- Three years of relevant experience in Material Distribution preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Knowledge of medical supplies preferred.
- Operating powered industrial equipment preferred.
- Ability to perform excessive walking, lifting and standing.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Outlook.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Frequent contact with Logistics staff, truck drivers, nursing staff, other service assistants and vendors.
- Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. of supplies.
- Require bending, standing, and walking
- Must be able to push a cart with a maximum of 250 lbs. of stock supplies.
- Working conditions: Unavoidable noise, dust and dirt in a busy hospital environment.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Shift time: 7:00 am start
- Dress Code: Jeans, Steel Toe Boots, Casual Shirt
Pay Rate
- Up to $18.00 per hour depending on experience
