Senior Logistician
- Lead and execute acquisition logistics planning and support across all phases of the program life cycle for U.S. Navy ships and associated equipment.
- Manage and monitor the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) workload, including the development and tracking of Supply Support, Maintenance Standards, Procedures, and Technical Manuals.
- Oversee the receipt and review of new acquisition Shipbuilder Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), ensuring coordination between logistics platforms and engineering teams.
- Conduct and track logistics support activities such as Defense Support Management System (DSMS) updates, baseline management, provisioning, Ship System Manual (SSM) development, and Maintenance Index Page (MIP)/Maintenance Requirement Card (MRC) generation.
- Utilize various Navy logistics databases and systems including Remedy, Windchill, Deckplate, MBPS, OneTouch/FEDMALL to support logistics data management and analysis.
- Participate in program management activities, including working group meetings, monthly and quarterly reviews, and status briefings; responsible for generating meeting minutes, tracking actions, and maintaining program documentation.
- Provide ILS support for HM&E (Hull, Mechanical & Electrical) systems, including reviewing and resolving Navy supply and maintenance support issues.
- Facilitate and contribute to Supply/Maintenance Support working groups; interface with Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Philadelphia ISEAs for coordination and issue resolution.
- Develop and deliver ILS issue resolution plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Interpret and apply U.S. Navy provisioning policies and practices; understand the roles and responsibilities of various Navy organizations.
- Maintain working knowledge of DoD, Navy, and commercial logistics databases, including ICAPS, FLIS, CDMD-OA, and Haystack.
- Review engineering drawings to identify configuration-worthy items and assess the need for changes to support system alterations.
- Must be a US citizen and have or be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
- Seven (7) years of experience supporting logistics programs for DoD/Homeland Security systems/equipment to include two (2) or more years in DoD Major
- This work is NOT remote. Working in the Philadelphia, PA office is required.
- Good verbal and written communications skills to be able to communicate with customers and vendors.
- Ability to review technical documentation at a basic level and communicate with engineers on solutions to obsolescence issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to follow work instructions and work somewhat independently are highly desirable traits.
