Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader

Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate a crew of 2–4 team members to complete daily lawn maintenance routes according to company standards
- Perform and supervise mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, pruning, weeding, bed maintenance, and seasonal cleanups
- Conduct quality-control checks and make on-site adjustments to ensure work meets client expectations
- Operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related equipment
- Promote and enforce safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE); complete pre- and post-trip inspections; report incidents or near-misses
- Communicate professionally with clients and office staff regarding site needs, service changes, and any issues
- Document services, time, photos, and notes using the company’s mobile app; ensure accurate crew timesheets
- Maintain truck, trailer, and equipment security; keep vehicles and job sites clean and organized
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional lawn or landscape maintenance experience
- At least 1 year of experience as a crew leader or foreman preferred
- Strong knowledge of turf care, pruning, seasonal maintenance practices, and operation of commercial landscaping equipment
- Valid driver’s license; ability to drive a truck with trailer
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet all day, and perform outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic irrigation troubleshooting skills; pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain preferred
- Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills a plus
- Comfortable using smartphones or tablets and job management apps
Compensation
