THE POSITION The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a professional Applications Developer 2 in the Bureau of Enterprise Applications Solutions, Enterprise Integration QA & Testing Division. In this role you will be responsible for providing independent advanced analysis, design, development, enhancements, implementation, and support to ensure efficient and effective operation of complex software. This position acts as a subject matter expert for Oracle Commerce Cloud and the related subsystems. They also provide daily operational support for Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC), Oracle Integration 3 (OIC), Oracle Server Side Extension (SSE) and extranet environments.DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position will develop and support the eCommerce platform with a primary responsibility for the B2C (business to consumer) system; Oracle storefront (FWGS) and secondary responsibility to support the B2B (business to business) development and support the Oracle storefront system (LOOP, Associate Portal). The primary responsibility of this position will be development within the various Oracle systems utilized by the PLCB. This development can be done individually or as part of a team, depending on the complexity of the project in question. Developing code as assigned and giving input to aid in design solutions, and will routinely develop and debug code. Additional responsibilities include:
This position will also serve in advanced troubleshooting, investigating, and debugging of problems and defects found in the supported systems. Problems are found and logged by internal staff. This position will research the problems found, log input and findings into the ticket and theorize a solution. Use of programming languages and development tools such as, HTML, CSS, SQL, XML, JavaScript, Java, C#, Oracle SQL Developer, Eclipse, DevOps, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Code (VSCode) and MongoDB. System performance is to be monitored and operational deficiencies relative to program execution are to be identified by the incumbent. This position makes recommendations about the implementation of solutions and remedial actions to ensure acceptable performance of the system. Interested in learning more? Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. You will be required to report to the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67,736.00 (before taxes). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or A bachelor's degree in any information technology field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Other Requirements:
