As a Health and Human Services Financial Analyst, you will manage and oversee financial aspects of our client's programs as well as work with various stakeholders.
Job Description
As a Health and Human Services Financial Analyst , you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of child welfare programs. This position involves working closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private sector entities, to analyze, develop, and implement financial solutions that enhance service delivery and program outcomes for children and families. The Health and Human Services Financial Analyst will leverage their expertise in financial analysis, child welfare services, and data analysis to provide actionable recommendations and support the continuous improvement of child welfare initiatives. Areas of specialization include IV-E invoicing and social services (including child welfare). This position is part-time (5 hours/week).

What You'll Do

Program Analysis and Evaluation:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing child welfare programs to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement

Utilize quantitative and qualitative financial data to evaluate program effectiveness and efficiency

Develop and implement evaluation frameworks and tools to measure financial program outcomes specific to child welfare services

Policy Development and Implementation:

Research and analyze current financial policies and regulations affecting child welfare services

Assist in the development of policy recommendations and strategic plans to enhance financial service delivery in child welfare

Support the implementation of new financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and service providers, to gather financial insights and build consensus

Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and meetings to discuss financial program goals, challenges, and solutions specific to child welfare

Provide technical assistance and training to stakeholders on best financial practices and innovative approaches in the context of child welfare services

Project Management:

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful completion of financial consulting engagements related to child welfare

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality financial services and solutions tailored to child welfare programs

Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate financial findings and recommendations

Continuous Improvement

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging practices, and technological advancements in child welfare finance

Identify opportunities for financial innovation and improvement within child welfare programs and processes

Share financial knowledge and expertise with colleagues and clients to foster a culture of continuous learning and development
What You'll Need
Required:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or other business-related field

Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within child welfare or human services consulting, program evaluation, or a related field

Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budget management, and compliance with state and federal regulations

Proven track record of managing financial projects and delivering results in a consulting environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and persuasively

Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools, such as Excel

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple financial projects and deadlines simultaneously

Physical Requirements

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

This position may require occasional travel to client sites and stakeholder meetings

The Analyst may work in an office setting or remotely, depending on client needs and project requirements

$60.00 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
