The Warehouse Parts Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining stockroom organization, supporting field technicians, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction through adherence to established procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all shipping and receiving activities accurately by the end of each business day
  • Verify, document, and label all incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with company procedures
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages, or overages and report discrepancies
  • Pick, inspect, and prepare outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Determine appropriate routing and ensure compliance with load limits and shipping regulations
  • Reconcile actual shipping costs against billed costs and report discrepancies to leadership
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the stockroom and receiving areas
  • Ensure all inventory is properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible
  • Address inventory discrepancies and maintain sufficient levels of shipping supplies
  • Process inventory receipts using the purchase order system in SAP
  • Distribute non-inventory materials to appropriate departments
  • Execute truck back-order replenishment processes
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers and vendors at the parts counter
  • Package shipments to prevent damage during transit
  • Assemble or cut chains, hoses, and cables as needed
  • Perform tire pressing as required
  • Process and document returned goods in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain shipping and mailing equipment, ensuring proper functionality and supply levels
  • Deliver parts to field technicians as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general CRM systems
  • Working knowledge of hazardous material handling procedures and safety guidelines
  • Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping/manifest systems preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification in the operation of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) preferred
  • Prior warehouse, parts, or inventory control experience required
  • Industry experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching required
  • Manual dexterity to handle inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Clear verbal communication ability, including talking and hearing with strong articulation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high performance expectations
