Reliability Manager
The Reliability Manager plays a key leadership role in driving the plant’s long-term operational success. In this position, you will champion a robust Reliability strategy that strengthens asset utilization, maximizes uptime, and supports the site’s production goals. As the Site System Leader, you’ll guide Maintenance Excellence initiatives, ensure seamless maintenance support for Operations, and foster the professional growth of both salaried and hourly team members.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Partner closely with Maintenance and Production to identify and execute high?value projects that positively impact the facility.
- Provide vision and oversight for the site’s Reliability Program, leading execution of key milestones across precision maintenance, predictive maintenance, lubrication, Operator Basic Care, RCFA, and more.
- Mentor and coach Reliability Engineers, the Reliability Superintendent, and the Planning & Scheduling Supervisor to promote development, engagement, and safe work practices.
Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime and enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with Maintenance & Engineering leadership to plan and budget future projects that prioritize reliability, criticality, and return on investment.
- Oversee expense projects that deliver incremental reliability improvements across the facility.
Data-Driven Reliability
- Analyze program performance using SAP and other documentation tools to track KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and refine reliability monitoring methods—such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis—to evaluate equipment and process health.
- Manage the site’s RCFA system, ensuring timely investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Audit and optimize Preventative Maintenance orders to ensure critical tasks are prioritized appropriately.
Maintenance Optimization
- Partner effectively with union leadership and team members to enhance shop efficiencies and clarify responsibilities.
- Refine asset criticality rankings to support cost?effective, proactive maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience (10+ years in related roles).
- 5–8 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to obtain MLT II and Vibration Analyst Category II certifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing clear technical reports and documentation.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, databases, and email systems.
- Experience with SAP, SAP?PM, or another CMMS platform.
