General description/ Qualifications:

The program coordinator will provide individual, field, and/or group supervision to all team members, with the exception of the psychiatrist, who reports to the Medical Director. Master’s degree in counseling, social work or criminal justice is required. Licensed LPC, LMFT, LSW or LCSW preferred. Two years’ experience working with individuals with mental illness and forensic involvement, COD competence, preferred. Two years supervisory experience strongly preferred. Currently certified as a CPS Supervisor or expected to attend next available training offered. Coordinator will undergo Moral Reconation Therapy and Trauma-Recovery Empowerment Model certification after hire.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Participates in Forensics Services program development and start-up activities
• Develops Forensics Services policies, forms, and protocols consistent with psychiatric rehabilitation principles, Community Support Program (CSP), and other applicable standards and values
• Works within program budget and monitors variances as indicated
• Involved in hiring of direct service staff, as well as developing job descriptions and provision of operational direct supervision
• Assumes primary responsibility of initial ongoing training of direct service staff in clinical service, community resources, Forensic Services, and agency policies and procedures, documentation requirements, and collaborative protocols regarding shared cases with other departments and agencies
• Oversees the thorough and timely completion of all required documentation and required summary and statistical reports
• Develops collaborative relationships with Bucks County Criminal Justice System, outside service agencies, Bucks County Department of MH/MR, and adjunctive PMHC departments
• Conducts consumer record reviews in combination with field supervision to assure quality service delivery, appropriate utilization, and required documentation

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, sitting on the floor or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, ability to move quickly in a crisis situation, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. Position also requires ability to drive with adequate vision and skill.
