Position Summary

An Electrical Estimator will be responsible for providing estimates on labor, materials, and rental equipment needed to complete Commercial and Industrial Electrical jobs in a way that complies with safety regulations, customer expectations and specifications, federal, state, and local ordinances, within time while meeting financial objectives of Axcess Industries, and the Primary Contractor or direct Customer.

Major Responsibilities

Major responsibilities of an Electrical Estimator include:

- Understanding electrical codes and installation of electrical components to be able to take off materials, labor and equipment required for electrical projects

- Meet with potential customer at customer’s job site, if possible, to gather details about the project

- Obtains quotes from project suppliers for specified parts in takeoffs

- Meets with Project Manager and Field Forman to present turnover packet and turn the project over

- Assist / Project Manage on specific jobs

Job Qualifications

- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in commercial electrician or estimator.

- Understand project drawings not just electrical

- Valid driver's license

- Ability to read and understand Commercial and Industrial drawings

- Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, Outlook

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to:

- Work in an office atmosphere

- Interface with people at many different levels of the customer’s organization.

- Vehicle available to use to go to jobsite as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
