Boiler Mechanic

Taylor Hospital is entering an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Keystone Quality Transport (KQT). We are seeking a skilled Boiler Mechanic to help maintain and support essential building systems critical to hospital operations.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Boiler Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boiler and steam systems that keep our operations running safely and efficiently. This role is hands-on, safety-focused, and ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work and preventative maintenance.

What You’ll Do:

• Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair boilers, steam, hot water, and related systems
• Monitor boiler controls, gauges, valves, and safety devices
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service issues
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and combustion-related problems
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and compliance records
• Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate with vendors and inspectors as needed
• Day shift but respond to on-call or emergencies

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as a Boiler Mechanic or similar role
• Valid boiler operator/mechanic license or certification (as required by state/local regulations)
• Strong knowledge of steam, hot water, and pressure systems
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
• Working knowledge of safety codes (ASME, OSHA, local codes)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently

Nice to Have:

• Experience in healthcare, industrial, or commercial facilities
• HVAC, electrical, or pipefitting experience
• EPA certification
• Experience with computerized maintenance systems (CMMS)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to respond to emergency calls as needed
