Paralegal

Position Title: Paralegal

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Assignment Type: Contract

Compensation: $30-35/hr

Work Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday–Friday

On-Site or Hybrid: Hybrid (3 days on-site)

An Addison Group client is looking for a Paralegal!

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining legal calendars
• Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law; prepare summaries for attorney review
• Draft, edit, and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Coordinate the discovery process, including document collection, review, indexing, and production
• Prepare materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials, including trial binders, witness lists, and exhibits
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties regarding case matters
• File legal documents electronically and in person in accordance with court rules and deadlines
• Maintain accurate billing and timekeeping records in compliance with firm guidelines
• Support attorneys with administrative and legal tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies or a related field
• 2+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
