Since 1883, Visitation BVM School has served as a beacon of hope for the Kensington community. For January 2023, we are looking to fill an elementary teaching position. Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and be able to prove that they are working towards their PA state certification. Responsibilities of Teachers

• Follow PA Common Core Curriculum and create lessons to meet the needs of all students
• Prepare lesson materials, grade tests and projects, establish classroom behavior management systems, and evaluate student progress
• Exercise open and respectful communication with students, families, co-workers, administrators, and other school staff
• Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required
• Attend conferences and workshops in order to advance professional development
• Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies
• Provide a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and in the school community
• Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and students
• Proven ability to maintain a safe and studious classroom environment

Qualifications of Teachers

● Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
