Job Title: STAFF ACCOUNTANT – DIRECT HIRE

Location: Newtown Square, PA (Delaware County)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | On-Site
Salary: $67,000–$70,000 DOE

Monarch Staffing is seeking a Staff Accountant (Property Accounting focus) for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Newtown Square, PA. This is an onsite position requiring five days per week in the office.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting property accounting operations, financial reporting, and analytical functions within a real estate-focused accounting environment. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

· Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions related to property management operations

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

· Record and post monthly journal entries, including accruals

· Complete journal entries and variance analysis reports while ensuring compliance requirements are met

· Assist in preparation of budget metrics and monthly budget-to-actual financial analysis

· Maintain and update property management system records, including tenants, owners, properties, and vendor information

· Collaborate with property management teams to ensure timely and accurate tenant billing and charge processing

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive corporate and financial data

· Maintain a professional and collaborative working environment with colleagues and management

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

· Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (required)

· Experience in real estate/property management accounting (required)

· Experience with MRI, Yardi, Entrata, and/or QuickBooks (preferred)

· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

· Advanced Excel skills required

· Strong written and verbal communication skills
