Operations Financial Analyst
As an Operations Finance Analyst, you will have ownership of the Distribution Centers within the USCA network, accounting, analysis, and financial controls supporting Protective and Marine Coatings. This is a hybrid work schedule position located at PPG’s General Office in Pittsburgh, PA and will join the Operations Finance Team. You will report to the Operations Finance Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly closing procedures and report on financial results
- Analyze and prepare account reconciliations to identify trends and ensure accuracy of the account balances
- Support the PMC supply chain team on transportation and distribution expense reporting, analysis and proactive cost actions
- Organize inventory counts for warehouse locations throughout the US and Canada and oversee the reconciliation and posting of adjustments
- Attend and oversee the inventory counts for certain larger locations
- Perform accounting and costing activities for PMC Distribution Centers
- Perform monthly and quarterly recost and analyze results to understand real time cost changes
- Facilitate regular review of slow moving, obsolete and excess inventory at offsite locations
- Support the SBU finance and Supply Chain team with reporting on inventory and other ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 1+ years of experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding PC skills and Excel knowledge
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of SAP or other large ERP system preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 6x per year to warehouse locations
