Instrumentation Technician – Wastewater Treatment Plant

Join the City of Bethlehem team and put your technical skills to work helping to maintain and improve our city’s essential infrastructure! We’re looking for a skilled Instrumentation Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and programming of advanced electronic instrumentation and SCADA systems at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic instrumentation, control systems, and SCADA hardware/software.
• Maintain and calibrate pH, chlorine, turbidity analyzers, meters, and transmitters.
• Diagnose issues with PLCs, circuit boards, and electronic components.
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records; manage inventory and parts orders.
• Support and train staff on system use and maintenance.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology and 2+ years of related experience , or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Strong knowledge of electronic instrumentation, computer systems, and SCADA operations.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and troubleshoot software and hardware.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team environment, including outdoors and in varying conditions.
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening .
