Position: Behavioral Health Technician (Working with Children with Autism)

Journey Center is a rapidly growing organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of both our clients and employees. We are currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented individual to join our team. This position will be based out of the Altoona area where you will be working in the school, home, and community setting with child.

What You’ll Do:

• Work directly with children with autism in various settings, including our center, local schools, and the community.
• Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support developmental goals.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
• Help children and families achieve meaningful progress in their daily lives.

What We’re Looking For:

• A team player with a heart for helping children and families.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
• Experience with autism and/or intellectual disabilities is a plus.
• Familiarity with ABA is preferred.
• Education: A 4-year degree is ideal, but we will consider candidates with a 2-year degree or high school diploma with relevant experience.
• If you're pursuing certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), we offer supervision hours to support your journey.
