Director of Market Access
Position Overview:
The Director of Market Access will play a critical role in driving the commercialization strategy and facilitating access to innovative medical device solutions within the healthcare landscape. This role requires a seasoned leader with a proven track record in market access, reimbursement strategies, and relationship management within the medical device industry.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies to ensure successful reimbursement and product adoption.
- Lead cross-functional teams to assess market dynamics, define pricing strategies, and optimize product launches.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including payers, healthcare institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the respiratory care space.
- Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, and marketing teams to align strategies and messaging.
- Prepare and present compelling value propositions and clinical evidence to support market access and product positioning.
- Monitor legislation, payer policies, and healthcare policies impacting product reimbursement and access.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to market access initiatives.
Essential Qualifications: - Bachelorâs degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, or related roles within the medical device industry.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, coding, and coverage policies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory and compliance aspects of market access.
Desired Experience: - Experience with minimally invasive medical devices and understanding of their clinical benefits.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Established network among healthcare payers and policy makers.
- Experience in preparing and conducting value analyses and economic models to support reimbursement applications.
