An innovative and growing commercial property management and development company is seeking a candidate for the newly created role of Director of Finance. This unique opportunity will enable the candidate to work side by side with the Chief Financial Officer and ideally will ascend into the CFO role when the current CFO retires.

Director of Finance Duties at JC BAR Properties, Inc.

• Responsible for the accounting and reporting functions especially for investment funds.
• Work closely with President, executive leadership, property managers and business partners.
• Manage and perform general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, cash flow management and budgeting.
• Manage multiple entities and projects simultaneously.
• Work with external vendors and lenders, maintaining strong relationships.
• Update rent rolls and work with property manager on a variety of tenant issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior finance role, such as Director of Finance, Senior Finance Manager, or similar positions with a commercial real estate company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA or relevant professional certification preferred.
• Strong foundation in financial management practices, investment fund accounting and closing large real estate transactions.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a finance team.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of improving financial outcomes.
• Experience in developing financial strategies, managing budgets, and preparing financial statements.
• Proficient in financial software and systems (Yardi, Dealius), with a capacity to adapt quickly to new technologies
• Background in payroll and human resources a big plus.
