We are seeking a self-starter with a great work ethic and to follow direction and carry out the responsibilities of the job of Production Associate in our Lightweight department. The Lightweight Production Associate is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and preparing lightweight conveyor belts according to customer specifications and company standards. This includes cutting, splicing, welding, punching, and finishing belting materials while maintaining quality, accuracy, and safety standards. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabrication: Measure, cut, and prepare belting materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment (presses, slitters, welders, etc.)
• Assembly: Perform hot and cold splices, install mechanical fasteners, and apply covers, cleats, v-guides, and edge sealing as required
• Quality Control: Inspect finished belts for defects or irregularities; ensure products meet customer specifications and tolerances
• Documentation: Complete production orders, work tickets, and inspection records accurately
• Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment; report maintenance needs to supervisor
• Safety: Follow all company safety policies and procedures; use required PPE; maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines
• Other Duties: Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory as needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Prior experience in conveyor belt fabrication, rubber or plastics manufacturing, or related industrial trade, preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in various industrial settings and environments, including shop, mining, and construction which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.
• While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) during the workday
• Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as required.
