Staff Accountant

What You'll Do In this role, you'll support core accounting and financial reporting functions while gaining exposure to a wide range of processes across the organization. Key responsibilities include:- Developing a strong working knowledge of company accounting systems and processes
- Preparing and maintaining accounting process documentation, while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Assisting with overhead budgets and budget-to-actual analysis
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing workpapers, financial statements, and related schedules/filings
- Supporting accounting operations related to cash, accounts receivable, job costing, and accounts payable
- Preparing special reports and assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed
- Performing additional assignments as directed by the Tax Director and Controllers
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- CPA preferred (or actively pursuing)
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements, including pension and profit-sharing plans
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
