About the Director of Activities Position :
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and manage the activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with current rules and regulations.
- Develop activities in a manner that meets the needs of all residents with varying levels of cognitive abilities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the activities program.
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator of Personal Care and Wellness, Executive Vice President, and President/CEO concerning the activities of the community.
- Coordinate and direct the Annual Health Fair for residents and employees.
Qualifications:
Must possess an Activity Director Certificate and, at minimum, an associate's degree in therapeutic recreation, recreation, and leisure studies, or social work.
Must have, at minimum, two years of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility.
