The Loan Processing Clerk plays a crucial role in the banking and credit intermediation industry by ensuring that loan applications are processed efficiently and accurately. This position involves reviewing and verifying loan documentation, assessing applicant eligibility, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The major end result of this role is to facilitate timely loan approvals, thereby contributing to the overall customer satisfaction and financial health of the institution. The Loan Processing Clerk will also collaborate with various departments to resolve any discrepancies and provide updates to applicants throughout the loan process. Ultimately, this role is essential in supporting the organization’s lending operations and fostering positive relationships with clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous banking and front-line experience are a plus but are not required.
Responsibilities:
- Processing the approved loans and renewals.
- Establishing files.
- Performing file maintenance and balancing.
- Performing clerical duties related to the loan processing area.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include good keyboarding and PC skills, interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills. Must also be accurate and detail oriented.
