Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility – Philadelphia, PA 19136
Shift Schedule: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 14 Weeks (Potential for extension based on facility needs)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $38/hr - $43/hr on W2 (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals in accordance with established correctional facility protocols and standards.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team and monitor for adverse reactions or changes in condition.

• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.

• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Respond quickly to medical emergencies and follow institutional procedures during crisis situations.

• Maintain strict adherence to security procedures and safety protocols while delivering patient care.

• Support the physical and emotional well-being of patients within the correctional environment.

Skills/Experience Needed:

• Minimum 2 years of recent LPN experience – Correctional or acute care experience preferred.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities during night shifts.

• Proficient in medication administration, patient assessment, and documentation.

• Effective communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Comfortable working in a secure, structured environment.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program – Required

Certifications:

• Active LPN License – Pennsylvania – Required

• BCLS Certification – Required

• COVID-19 Vaccination – Required , per facility policy
