Job Description

The Press Assistant role is essential for setting up and supporting printing presses, ensuring all operations align with specified printing requirements and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operator with print jobs and facilitate quick changeovers for seamless transition to the next job.
• Perform external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities, including switching from one label job to another.
• Conduct external clean-up activities following changeover.
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment efficiently.
• Strip plates from cylinders with precision.
• Locate dies to and from the press accurately.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and understand a job ticket.
• Proficiency in inputting data into a computer system.
• Mechanically inclined with an understanding of machine operation and production processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous printing experience is highly beneficial.
• Previous machine operating experience is advantageous.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading a ruler and understanding measurements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr.
