What does a Delivery Driver do?
As a Full Time, Delivery Driver at Kinsley Steel, Inc., you will have the critical responsibility of safely transporting steel parts and plates between our fabrication shops and job sites. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to safety will be vital as you ensure the secure loading and unloading of materials, following both safety regulations and company policies. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections will be part of your routine, ensuring the vehicle's safety and promptly reporting any issues. Your excellent communication skills will come into play as you coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch, colleagues, and clients, working together to address any concerns. With a strong adherence to DOT regulations and traffic laws, you will play a significant role in maintaining our commitment to safety on the road.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a valid DOT Non-CDL or CDL Class B driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in steel or construction material delivery is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed is required.
- Possess attention to detail.
- Have thorough understanding of, and adherence to, all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Must prioritize the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the general public while on the road.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and exhibit a strong work ethic.
- Must demonstrate professionalism and uphold our core values of being customer-centric and problem solvers.
