Your impact
As an Electronic Systems Troubleshooting Specialist II, you’ll be the go-to expert for component-level diagnostics and verification on products and subassemblies that keep trains moving. You’ll translate engineering intent into reliable repairs and tests—every time.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and test electronic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies to meet engineering specifications.
- Interpret and apply assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Conduct visual label/hardware checks and perform point‑to‑point continuity verification prior to electrical testing.
- Operate multimeters, function generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, wave analyzers, and Bench Test Equipment (BTE).
- Perform component‑level PCB soldering and desoldering with discipline and care.
- Champion safety and 5S—use PPE and maintain a clean, organized area.
- Use hand and power tools effectively; document findings and outcomes.
- Partner with the Team Lead and Repair Technicians; report to the Production Supervisor and/or Team Leader.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years in an electronics repair setting.
- Expertise in component‑level troubleshooting and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in PCB soldering/desoldering and deep knowledge of electronic components.
- Strong math foundation and basic computer literacy (Microsoft Suite).
- Collaborative, adaptable, and clear in written/oral communication.
- Comfort working overtime when required.
Preferred
- IPC-A610, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 credentials/experience.

Pay transparency & benefits
Munhall, PA hourly base: $21.20 – $23.50. Final rate may be higher or lower based on budget and your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
