Project Verification & Validation Designer

Your future role
"Take on a new challenge and apply your Verification & Validation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of Computer Based Train Control (CBTC) projects by verifying and validating critical systems and designs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Test & Commissioning, Design Teams, and Safety Assurance), contribute to the definition and implementation of the Project V&V strategy, and manage configuration and change management cycles related to V&V activities, and much more."
We’ll look to you for:
Contributing to the definition and proactive implementation of the Project Verification and Validation strategy in the V&V Plan.,
Defining verification methodology for selected deliverables, as required by the V&V strategy.,
Developing and executing test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities, while liaising with PrCOM for exported tests.,
Performing and reporting on allocated verification, integration, and test activities.,
Collaborating with the Safety Assurance Manager to share and justify results when Safety is involved, supporting safety demonstration efforts.,
Interfacing with experts in other departments to align on selected V&V activity methodologies.,
Representing Alstom in front of customers or partners to provide overviews of test progress, issues, risks, and opportunities.,
Specifying, procuring, developing, setting up, and configuring assets such as test benches and instrumentation.,
Providing data to maintain applicable KPIs and contributing valuable feedback for REX sessions and continuous improvement.,
Managing configuration and change management cycles related to V&V activities, including simulation configuration and anomaly tracking.

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field ,
Experience or understanding of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities, including Software/System/Integration Testing ,
Knowledge of Computer-Based Train Control (CBTC) systems or transportation/rail signaling industry ,
Familiarity with project execution and management in a technical environment ,
Proficiency in English with strong communication skills ,
Open-mindedness and the ability to collaborate with international teams or across regions ,
Strong organizational and time-management skills ,
Ability to contribute to continuous improvement and feedback processes ,
Decision-making skills to address challenges effectively ,
Experience with configuration and change management processes
