Job Description:
The Manager, Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS) leads the HCMS team in managing daily operations, optimizing HR technology solutions, and supporting HR, Payroll, and interrelated functions. This role partners closely with senior leadership and IT to drive efficiency, innovation, and alignment with business needs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee the HCMS portfolio, ensuring seamless operations and system functionality.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and business leaders to understand technology needs and priorities.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to an 8-person HCMS team.
- Manage system development methodologies, including requirements gathering, testing, and configuration.
- Support major Workday ERP rollouts and integrations, driving process improvements.
- Serve as a key decision-maker in prioritizing projects and resource allocation.
- Act as a hands-on leader, assisting the team with problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 5 years of Workday HCM experience.
- 1 year of management experience leading multiple direct reports.
- Strong collaboration, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM modules (Recruitment, HR, Payroll, Benefits).
- Project management experience within Workday/HCM.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Formal Workday training (certifications not required but preferred).
- Ability to engage with business leaders, propose solutions, and optimize HR systems.

- Workday Certifications.
- Experience in structured corporate environments (avoiding consulting/hoppy profiles).
