Job Summary:
A Food Runner, also known as a Server Assistant, is the essential link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring meals are delivered promptly and accurately. This role supports both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams to maintain service flow and provide an exceptional guest experience.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $20/hr
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
• Minimum Age: At least 16 years of age
• Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver food orders to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring proper temperature and presentation.
• Communicate effectively between kitchen staff and servers, relaying special requests, order updates, and out-of-stock items.
• Assist servers by pre-bussing tables, refilling beverages, and providing additional items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas and service stations; reset tables and clean spills promptly.
• Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, and to-go items throughout service.
• Handle to-go orders, including preparation and packaging.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards; report unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
• Provide courteous guest interaction, answer basic menu questions, and address immediate needs.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including polishing silverware, folding napkins, and general cleanup.
  

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.

The expected pay range is $20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
