This full-time loan administration position, housed in York, PA, earns a market competitive wage, dependent upon experience. A Day in the Life of a Loan Administration Team Leader :

  • Team Management : Directly supervise and manage the Loan Administration staff in collaboration with the Loan Administration Manager. Lead day-to-day activities, oversee workflows, and ensure efficient scheduling.

  • Supervisory Role : Exercise managerial authority by handling staffing decisions, approving time records, conducting performance reviews, facilitating promotions, and overseeing disciplinary actions and terminations in conjunction with the Loan Administration Manager.

  • Process Enhancement : Collaborate on core system updates for loan-related components. Conduct testing, implement updated procedures, and effectively communicate these changes to the team.

  • Loan Processing : Handle a range of loan-related activities including consumer, residential, and commercial loan bookings, modifications, extensions, payoffs, payment postings, funding disbursements, and maintenance.

  • Customer Support : Provide timely and effective support to both internal and external customers by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving loan-related issues.

  • Documentation Management : Manage the submission of essential documents such as mortgages, assignment of rents, satisfaction pieces, and other pertinent paperwork to relevant platforms.

  • Compliance and Controls : Ensure adherence to banking regulations, company policies, and procedures while actively contributing to the implementation of controls. Analyze and provide recommendations for control enhancements, evaluating cost benefits.

  • Reporting and Communication : Share insights, recommendations, and concerns with the Loan Administration Manager. Maintain open communication channels within the team and with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications of a Loan Administration Team Leader :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in loan administration and management within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of federal/state banking regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in handling loan-related software and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand, process, and troubleshoot various types of issues and the ability to utilize independent judgment in exercising these duties.
  • Capable of handling numerous projects simultaneously, while working with a strong attention to detail, in a fast-paced environment.
