Electrical Designer

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical design, with experience in developing electrical systems and assemblies for automation equipment. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of efficient, safe, and reliable high-speed machinery used in the food and beverage industry. As an Electrical Designer, you'll collaborate with engineering teams and vendors, translating complex concepts into practical designs that support cutting-edge automation.

Key Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Skilled in 2D drafting tools such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or Autodesk Vault (familiarity preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Knowledge of electrical components like relays, transformers, fuses, and terminal blocks.
• Understanding of automation hardware such as VFDs, PLCs, and sensors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits.
• Able to handle contact with food and beverage products, including allergens.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and detail electrical components and systems for machinery.
• Develop panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Support research and innovation of new equipment through creative input.
• Ensure designs are economical, safe, and durable.
• Interpret and integrate electrical drawings from clients and vendors.
• Draft detailed documentation of electrical assemblies.
• Procure components necessary for project execution.
• Assist with electrical change requests and troubleshooting during assembly.
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement technological updates.
