SQL Developer (Web application)
Job Summary:
The Planning Application Consultant is responsible for supporting customers with the implementation, customization, and optimization of enterprise planning and scheduling solutions. This role involves analyzing business processes, developing technical specifications, configuring data modules, and training users. The consultant will collaborate with internal teams and customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful deployment of planning and scheduling software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer planning and scheduling requirements, collecting standard business processes with users and operations.
- Develop technical specifications for system configuration and data integration.
- Configure data modules and perform ongoing solver tuning to optimize system performance.
- Implement, customize, and commission enterprise planning solutions.
- Provide maintenance, upgrades, and support for existing implementations.
- Train customer key users on planning and scheduling modules.
- Work collaboratively on multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Periodically travel to customer sites to conduct fit/gap analyses, execute testing, and provide training and Go-Live support.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Software Development/Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working with relational database structures.
- Experience in the steel or manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
Special Requirements:
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for projects and meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and structures.
- Technical proficiency in configuring and maintaining enterprise software solutions.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions and training.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects.
Additional Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with planning and scheduling solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Prior experience in software development or enterprise system implementation.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid or remote work environment with periodic travel to customer locations.
- Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Other Duties:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
