Business Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Mainframe experience to support the analysis and interpretation of the CRISS mainframe dataset. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to analyze legacy data structures, document business requirements, and support data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze and interpret CRISS mainframe datasets to support business and operational requirements.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements.
· Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation.
· Work with mainframe data sources (COBOL files, VSAM, DB2, JCL, etc.) to understand data structures and workflows.
· Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of extracted data.
· Support data mapping, transformation, and migration activities related to legacy systems.
· Document current state processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and data utilization.
· Coordinate with development teams for implementation and testing of solutions.
· Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure business requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
· 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
· Strong experience working with Mainframe systems.
· Experience analyzing CRISS or similar legacy mainframe datasets.
· Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 data structures.
· Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, or reporting tools.
· Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
· Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a complex enterprise environment.
· Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
· Familiarity with data migration or modernization projects involving legacy systems.
· Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
· Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
